Variety being the spice of life and everything

A quick survey of my recipe book this evening reveals some strange, although possibly not surprising, statistics:

100%, or all 3, of the recipes in the “entres” category are for lentils in some form or another.

The only other category with recipes in it is “breads/desserts,” where most of my recipes are for cookies or pancakes.  Almost all of them have the word “egg-free” or “eggless” in the title.

There are two other recipes in the whole book and they both showcase avocado.

I think this is what happens when you get all your recipes from running magazines and google searches for “without egg.”

  1. The statistics are not surprising. What is surprising is that you’re not actually vegan. Maybe that makes you a poser.

  2. You could always just buy eggs, then you’d have them, shopping tends to work that way.

  3. At least you are eating… You’ve gone a long way in two years… from your coffee and muffins to cakes, cookies, and lentils. Its an improvement.
